In short: Munty has no accounts, no servers, no ads and no analytics. Everything you enter is stored only on your device. The only third party involved is Google Play, which handles optional in-app purchases.
1. Who is responsible
Munty is developed and published by Reviant (Alfred Kwint), an independent developer based in the Netherlands. Questions about this policy or your data: hello@reviantstudios.com
2. What Munty does
Munty is a personal budget tracker. You can record income and expenses, manage one or more bank accounts, set saving goals, and add a small business account to track orders and sales. The app works fully offline.
3. Data you enter in the app
Everything you type into Munty, such as transactions, account names, balances, saving goals, business orders, notes and settings, is stored only on your device, in the app's private storage. We never see it, and it is never sent to us or anyone else.
Munty does not ask for your bank login, does not connect to your bank, and does not read your SMS, contacts, location or files.
4. Backups
You can create a backup file from inside the app and restore it later. You choose where to save it, for example on your phone or a cloud drive you control. Munty does not upload backups anywhere. If you store a backup in a cloud service, that service's own privacy policy applies to the file.
5. In-app purchases
Some features (more than one bank account, more than two saving goals, and extra themes) are unlocked with a one-time purchase. Purchases are processed entirely by Google Play Billing, under the Google Privacy Policy. Munty never receives your payment details, only a confirmation that the purchase was made, so it can unlock the feature on your device.
6. What we do not collect
- No personal information (name, email, phone number). The app has no sign-up.
- No usage analytics or crash reports sent to us or third-party SDKs.
- No advertising and no advertising identifiers.
- No location, contacts, photos or device identifiers.
7. Permissions
Munty may request storage or file access only so you can save and restore your own backup files. It uses the internet permission only so Google Play Billing can verify purchases. No other permissions are needed.
8. Children
Munty is intended for users aged 13 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone, including children. Because no data leaves your device, there is nothing for us to collect or delete.
9. Your rights and your data
All data lives on your device, so you are fully in control. You can edit or delete anything in the app, delete a backup file yourself, or uninstall the app to remove all its data. Under the GDPR you have rights of access, correction and erasure. Since we hold no data about you, you exercise these directly on your device. If you believe we do hold data about you, email us and we will respond promptly.
10. Security
Your data is kept in the app's private storage, which other apps cannot read. Protecting your device (screen lock, keeping it updated) is the best way to keep your records safe. Backup files you export are not encrypted by Munty, so keep them somewhere you trust.
11. Changes to this policy
If Munty ever adds a feature that changes how data is handled, such as cloud sync, this policy will be updated first and the effective date at the top will change. Continued use of the app after an update means you accept the revised policy.
